About the role: We are looking for EHCP Coordinator to join our Additional Support based at Bedford College. As an EHCP Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students by: Ensuring the delivery of high quality support for students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) receiving High Needs Funding (HNF). Undertaking students annual reviews in line with statutory duties Undertaking training across curriculum areas to support the needs of students with EHCP and HNF Maintaining close links with curriculum areas to support and review students’ progress on an ongoing basis Supporting students transition into college and to support progression opportunities in line with student aspirations Promoting opportunities for transitioning students to access the college prior to the start of their programme Liaising with curriculum areas on an ongoing basis to ensure students achievement towards their programmes of study and EHCP outcomes Undertaking termly reviews with the student and curriculum area to support achievement About you: A Levels or equivalent qualification in relevant subject English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Graduate and/or vocational training at an equivalent level in a relevant subject such as Education, Health and Social Sciences Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice 2014 Experience of working with young people with SEND whom are supported through EHCP Experience of working with a range of young people with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities within a supporting capacity Flexible approach to work and working times including ability to work occasional evenings and requirement to work five days a week Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns Job Description: EHCP Co-ordinator Mainstream 2019.docx £29,000 per annum, DOE and Qualifications
