This is an exciting new post working in the Cardiff & Value UHB waste Team. The primary function of the role is to support the achievement of organisational objectives and key Welsh Government targets in waste and recycling legislation. The post holder will be expected to professionally lead waste activities in a way that ensures the establishment and comprehensive development of high-quality service. We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic individual to work alongside us within the Facilities Team. The applicant should have the essential requirements outlined in the personal specification, with excellent communication and organisational skills, ability to work with minimum supervision and the ability to prioritise their own workload. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. To ensure that the UHB’s waste services are delivered in an efficient, effective and safe manner with due regard to relevant statutory legislation, Health & Safety requirements and UHB policies and procedures. To lead waste activities in a way that ensures the establishment and comprehensive development of high-quality services within the available resources. Take direct responsibility for the provision of health and safety advice on waste issues on behalf of the UHB.
