We are now seeking a Head of Finance to join our Senior Management Team and help drive the financial strategy of our growing business As Head of Finance, you will lead the financial management and reporting function of the company, contributing to the financial planning and strategic growth of the company whilst ensuring sound financial governance. This role reports directly to the Managing Director and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future success of WineFlair. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to overall business profitability and growth by overseeing accurate forecasting, budgeting and reporting. Support Senior Management and Directors in carrying out accurate budgeting and forecasting. Prepare financial management documents to ensure measurement of the performance of the business. Prepare and deliver timely monthly management accounts and end of year accounts. Prepare additional financial reports and to present such at Board Meetings when required by the Managing Director. Provide information and analysis on the financial aspects of strategic projects. Monitor the activities and budgets for each department to ensure budgets are adhered to. Prepare and submit all statutory returns including management of the pension scheme and employee benefits. Work with our IT Manager to maximise the use of current finance systems and software to ensure they are implemented in an efficient way. Contribute to effective coordination between finance and other departments. Proactively manage relationships with auditors, solicitors, service providers and business advisers to ensure compliance and enhance business operations. Liaise with Companys Bank and other financial services as and when required. Maintain knowledge of any new initiatives and legislation relating to the financial management of the business and advise accordingly. Management of the Accounts Team: Foster a culture of accountability and high performance within the finance team. Develop and mentor team members to maximize their potential and contribute to the companys growth objectives. Work with department team members to ensure they are adequately trained in their job duties. Skills & Experience: Essential Criteria: Educated to degree level or equivalent and CA or CIMA qualified. At least 5 years post qualification experience. Proven experience of budget preparation and financial forecasting. Proven experience of preparing financial and management accounts, reports and data and providing analysis of those reports. Proven experience in management of a finance department or team Be familiar with current accounting software systems and management systems for accounting functions. Experience of liaising with key external stakeholders Ability to work within a team but also be self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
