At our brand-new factory in Worsley Greater Manchester, we're on a mission to deliver top-quality dips—from classic chickpea to fiery jalapeño—while upholding the highest food manufacturing standards. Now, we’re looking for a Factory Technical Manager to lead our technical team and ensure our products remain top-tier in taste and safety.
Your Role
As our Factory Technical Manager, you’ll take charge of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance, ensuring that our products meet the highest industry standards. You’ll work closely with production, operations, and R&D teams to maintain excellence in every dip we produce!
What You’ll Do
✅ Lead the factory's technical and quality assurance function, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, BRCGS, retailer standards, etc.)
✅ Manage the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure all processes align with industry and legal requirements
✅ Act as the lead contact for audits (BRC, customer, and regulatory bodies) and ensure successful accreditation
✅ Oversee and drive continuous improvement in food safety and hygiene practices
✅ Work closely with NPD (New Product Development) to ensure smooth product launches with technical integrity
✅ Investigate and manage customer complaints, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively
✅ Deliver training to factory teams on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
✅ Ensure allergen management, traceability, and labelling compliance are in place and regularly reviewed
✅ Drive a strong food safety culture across the factory, promoting best practices at all levels
About You
✔️ Experienced in food manufacturing? Perfect! You’ll have a solid background in technical/quality roles within the food industry (FMCG experience is a big plus!)
✔️ Knowledgeable? You’ll have expertise in food safety regulations, HACCP, and BRCGS standards
✔️ A strong leader? You can motivate and guide a team, ensuring quality is at the heart of everything we do
✔️ Organised and detail-oriented? You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have great attention to detail
✔️ Qualified? Ideally, you have:
* HACCP Level 4 certification
* Food Safety Level 4
* Experience handling BRC and retailer audits
* Knowledge of microbiology and allergen control
✔️ Bonus points if you have: TACCP/VACCP knowledge and experience with continuous improvement initiatives
