Are you on the lookout for a new job where you go home every day knowing you've made a difference? We're looking for people like you to join our amazing #TeamCrudenlea in Stonehaven on a permanent (16-39 hours per week) and relief basis.
The Role
You'll become part of a friendly, fun team who supports individuals with various disabilities and additional support needs to live in their shared home. There's never a dull moment at Crudenlea, so if you're looking for a job where it's different every day, then this is the role for you!
The main focus of your role will be to support the individuals with all aspects of their daily living, including shopping, finances, meal preparation, housework, and personal care. You'll also support the individuals with their hobbies and interests, enjoying time at the cinema and theatre, going to the football to watch Aberdeen FC, getting creative in the kitchen, and various other indoor and outdoor activities.
About You
At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills to be successful in your new role. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7 qualification) and yearly SSSC registration fees!
If you don't live in the Stonehaven area and are not a driver, we will need you to be mindful of the location of our service and be confident that you can travel for your shifts, as there are limited public transport links available that fit with all of our shift patterns.
All we’ll need you to bring is:
* A caring and compassionate attitude
* The ability to work well in a team
* Good communication and organisational skills
* A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
* Confidence in the use of computers
* The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too!)
* Confidence to go in the water, as swimming is a regular activity
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support tailored to the needs of each individual, the shifts will usually fall into patterns between the hours of 07:30-21:30. Sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays would also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
Depending on your size of contract, you will work around 2-3 sleepovers per month. Our sleepovers don't form part of your contracted hours; you'll receive an additional payment of £96 for every sleepover shift you work!
Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today; we can't wait to hear from you!
We are looking to fill these vacancies as soon as possible and hold the right to close our advert early if we find suitable candidates before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
Please note: If you have spent more than 12 months outside the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
