JOB OVERVIEW
An exciting opportunity to join our Catering team at AFC Bournemouth’s brand-new training facility which is due to open in March 2025. We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated Kitchen Porters/Kitchen Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, but it is not essential as full training will be provided. A ‘can do’ attitude is essential with the ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment. Casual contract varying hours from 1-5 days per week over a 7-day Rota.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen daily.
2. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
3. Clean, wash and sanitize pots, pans and other kitchen equipment and store properly after use.
4. Daily and weekly cleaning duties including cleaning of canopies, splash backs, fridges, freezers, floors, and ovens.
5. Ensure waste disposal and recycling is carried out in accordance with all health and safety regulations and environmental policies.
6. Always adhere to Food Safety standards and hygiene practices.
7. Assist where required the chefs in preparation of ingredients for cooking.
8. Assist the chefs with deliveries of stock ensuring all stock is stored correctly in accordance with food safety standards.
9. As a casual worker you must adhere to the club’s safeguarding policies and procedures and are committed to our safeguarding values, creating a safe and positive environment for all those who interact with the club.
10. Obligation to adhere to the club’s health and safety policy and procedures.
11. Actively promote the club’s equality policies and practices to ensure a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.
