BMS Service & Commissioning Engineer Location: Peterborough Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Company Vehicle or Company Allowance Benefits: Bonus Scheme Pension Holidays Training About the Role As a BMS (Building Management System) Service & Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the continuous running, maintenance, and commissioning of BMS systems. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of building systems, thereby enhancing the operational effectiveness of facilities. Responsibilities Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work Diagnosing breakdown problems Carrying out quality inspections on jobs Liaising with client departments and customers Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components Controlling maintenance tools, stores, and equipment Dealing with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines Making improvements to and offering advice about operational procedures Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines Ensuring that equipment works to its specification Creating and carrying out test procedures Investigating problems, diagnosing/repairing faults, and troubleshooting Liaising with installation/project engineers Supervising engineering and technical staff Writing reports and documentation Ensuring safe working conditions Providing technical support Required Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience Proven experience in BMS service, installation or commissioning Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and liaison skills Ability to plan and coordinate tasks effectively Knowledge of health and safety standards Proficiency with computerised maintenance management systems
