The Opportunity
Join Aggregate Industries as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, where youll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising our plant equipment to ensure seamless operations, You'll be working a permanent nights shift on a rotating basis of Sunday to Thursday then Monday to Friday. This role involves performing planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring that our mobile and fixed equipment runs efficiently and safely. * Conduct planned maintenance and repairs on-site equipment to maintain asset capacity and value.
* Respond to plant breakdowns promptly, ensuring timely fixes and following up with permanent solutions.
* Prepare and develop safe working methods for repair procedures, adhering to safety protocols.
* Support and train operatives to complete maintenance tasks, fostering a collaborative and skilled team.
* Monitor and document plant stoppages, breakdowns, and maintenance logs, ensuring accurate records.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards, keeping areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
Who You Are
Youre a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter with experience in maintaining heavy mobile and fixed plant equipment. Your technical expertise, combined with strong communication and organizational skills, makes you a valuable member of any maintenance team.
* Proven experience as a fitter in heavy and light plant maintenance, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
* Strong planning, problem-solving, and IT literacy, with the ability to implement maintenance schedules effectively.
* Highly motivated, flexible, and able to work as part of a 24/7 operation when required.
* Solid understanding of health and safety practices, with the ability to complete safety-related documentation for all maintenance activities.
