The Role: Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Sociology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, introducing students to key sociological concepts, theories, and research methods. Foster a critical awareness of social issues and inequalities, encouraging students to analyze and evaluate different perspectives on contemporary social problems. Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to discuss and debate sociological ideas, applying their knowledge to real-world situations. Contribute to the development and implementation of a stimulating Sociology curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. Incorporate a range of teaching methods and resources, including documentaries, debates, and research projects, to enhance student understanding. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their sociological development. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A strong understanding of the UK A-Level Sociology specification. A degree in Sociology or a related field. A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in Sociology. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
