We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join the team at HMP YOI Moorland, a Category C male prison and Young Offenders neat Hatfield.
Join the Recovery Team and empower those whom wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. Hours: This is a full time role, hours per week, Monday to Friday, usually 08:00 - 16:00. You will work 1 in 4 weekends (2 x half days). Salary: This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary of between £28,247 - £32,346 per annum - depending on experience. How will we support you?

Main duties of the job
As our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
1. Being responsible for a caseload of patients - working closely with them to deliver support, 1-1s, and advise on relapse prevention, relapse triggers etc
2. Deliver group sessions across the substance misuse service
3. Carry out duty work, including reception - seeing new patients and carrying out assessments
4. Delivering outstanding care to psycho social patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback - ensuring that their care is personalised and tailored to the individual
5. Providing a programme of psycho social interventions
6. Provide information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cession, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices

Our new Recovery Worker will:
18. Have experience of working within substance misuse, whether in the community, hospital or a secure setting
19. Any experience within a multi-disciplinary framework, which includes housing, social care, health care and mental health pathways would be a bonus
20. Experience in, or knowledge of SMART would be helpful, as would experience in running group sessions and 1-1s
21. Have a relevant qualification, or equivalent experience
