Description Learning and Development Consultant | 7937 | Fixed Term Contract until 1 June 2027 | 37 hours per week | £42,463 to £46,732 per annum (Scale K) | County Hall We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Learning & Development Consultant in Digital Services to join our team and contribute to the Education System Improvement & Procurement Programme. This role is crucial to develop and implement effective learning to support the continuous improvement of our current education system, Synergy. You will be responsible for planning, designing, delivering and evaluating a range of learning and development solutions for over 1000 staff using the system, across a variety of roles in Children’s Services. Responsibilities: Review and Evaluate: Assess supplier training materials and guidance in line with Norfolk County Council’s use and configuration of the system. Evaluate training materials across the business to ensure consistency and effectiveness. Strategy Development: Develop the education system training strategy and conduct a training needs analysis to identify gaps and opportunities. Content Creation: Expertise with digital learning technologies, including video production. Produce engaging training materials, including online training using Adapt software. Ensure materials are instructionally sound and aligned with adult learning theories. Collaboration: Work closely with Business Analysts and the project team to develop training that supports the onboarding of new services to the system. Leadership: Oversee a Synergy trainer responsible for delivering a blend of tutor-led sessions, team briefings, and developing training materials for the system. Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and deploy user support offerings, ensuring they are effective, sustainable, and scalable. Requirements Be engaging as a facilitator when delivering face to face and virtual learning events. Have initiative and clear ownership for your deliverables, requiring minimal supervision. Knowledge and experience of learning methods and how they can effectively be applied at scale across multiple locations. Be a strong and visible communicator that can build a reputation as a trusted adviser to Digital Services and the business. Be collaborative and willing at the same time to challenge the status quo.
