They are seeking a dedicated and inspiring RE Teacher to join their faculty in a full-time, permanent capacity starting in the January 2025. Position Overview: The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Religious Education curriculum to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. This involves creating a thought-provoking and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore diverse religious beliefs and worldviews, develop their critical thinking skills, and cultivate their own sense of spirituality and values. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver stimulating RE lessons that align with the national curriculum, examination specifications, and the school's ethos. Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages open dialogue and exploration of different faiths and perspectives. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their understanding and personal growth. Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the RE department and across the school to enrich the learning experience and contribute to the school's overall spiritual and moral development program. Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in religious education. Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Demonstrated experience teaching RE at the secondary level.
