Project Manager
Hybrid working (Min 3 days pw onsite in Shrewsbury)
The pay rate is £47/hr Umbrella (or £35/hr PAYE)
The contract is initially for 12 months, but is expected to be ongoing afterwards.
Must have: Mechanical Manufacturing & Engineering Background, ideally Aerospace, Automotive or similar High Value Manufacturing Industry.
Candidates must have at least 3 years project management experience which includes:
1. Establishing & Creating Project Requirement plans
2. Developing Business Cases
3. Establishing Governance
4. Establishing relationships with Stakeholders
5. Managing the project against the plan
6. Delivering the project against the plan – On time and in full
Additional Requirements:
1. Must have Mechanical Engineering Background, ideally Automotive or similar High Value Industry.
2. Very good MS Project and MS Excel skills such as pivot tables & data extraction.
3. Ideally some form of PMI or PMP qualification e.g., Prince 2 (desirable but not essential).
Duties
1. Develop and produce program and/or project management schedules using MS Project.
2. Management and accountability for the portfolio of projects.
3. Monitoring project progress and performance.
4. Regular stakeholder reporting.
5. Work with partners, monitor progress, to ensure project delivered in a timely manner on budget.
6. Attend business meetings with partners.
7. Risk Management.
8. Resource Management – Provide input for staffing and support of programs and create accurate and detailed resource-loaded project schedules.
9. Management of project/programme budgets.
10. Maintains program level issues/action logs, risk registers, scope change requests/logs, program schedules, and program cost tracking.
11. Expertise in Project/Program Management tools & processes, including project/portfolio resource and cost management.
12. Facilitate projects, lead chartering sessions, develop/validate network diagrams, and lead integration and compression sessions with internal and external teams.
13. Mentor/coach the project leaders in project management, and address any issues one-on-one with senior divisional and department management if appropriate.
14. Use company’s project accounting systems and produce project-related financial reports. Monitors progress of projects, discusses problems with affected areas, assures appropriate personnel are informed of problems and steps are in place to meet schedules.
