Cardiac Specialist Nurse
Band 6 £39,912 - £48,635 (pro rata)
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 (pro rata)
25 hours per week
Permanent post – Internal Applicants only
The above 25 hour post has arisen within the Cardiac Specialist Nurse Team at the Western Isles Hospital.
This busy team work across primary and secondary care to provide expert advice and support to patients with newly diagnosed and chronic heart failure, acute coronary syndromes requiring cardiac rehabilitation, screening for Familial Hypercholesterolaemia, specialist assessment and management of chest pain, and those requiring support due to arrythmia and complex devices.
Applicants must be committed to providing a high standard of care, be able to work well under pressure and have current experience of working within a cardiac specialist service in particular, chest pain assessment and facilitating CT coronary angiography. Completion of Clinical Assessment for Advanced Practitioners and Non-Medical Prescribing modules at SCQF level 11 is essential for this post.
