Our IT Projects Change and Training Lead will proactively provide Change Management and Lead IT system training, to enable the successful implementation of the TSDFT Community IT led projects as part of the IT Strategy.
They will develop and deliver programs of training to staff so that they are competent and confident in using clinical information systems. They will lead and deliver the Change and Training element of the IT led project as detailed by the PARIS IAO and System Specialist and be responsible for the delivery of training and related resources required to train each relevant IT system.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead change by visiting departments within the Trust and associated partners to learn, scope and understand their service and inner workings.
2. Transfer your findings from the service scope onto a comprehensive process map.
3. Present your findings to a variety of audiences.
4. Use the process maps created within the scoping process to create and curate training materials (user guides, PowerPoint presentations and eLearning packages) which will be delivered to the service.
5. Lead on communication with stakeholders at all levels of seniority (clinical and non-clinical) throughout the project's lifecycle.
6. Lead on the delivery of training to clinical and non-clinical staff.
7. Support teams post-implementation to ensure the service is fully supported with their new system. This may require working out of usual business hours.

Job responsibilities
* Use persuasive and influencing skills to ensure involvement and engagement of key stakeholders when delivering presentations, training or advice sessions to individuals or staff groups, in order to overcome sometimes opposing views to change and gain acceptance or understanding of the benefits of the system.
* Communicate and present written and verbal technical and non-technical information to clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels throughout different phases of the project.
* Actively engage staff at all levels and maintain this engagement within challenging and, at times, difficult or complex circumstances.
* Provide local knowledge for the team and be a good point of contact between the project team and Trust staff.
* Attend meetings or user groups to represent the Community IT Project team as required.
* Demonstrate the ability to function competently as a member of a team and understand and acknowledge the role and function of other members of the team.
* Proactively promote a positive image of Change Management and its benefits to services, patients and staff.
* Work with all levels of staff to undertake time-limited pieces of project scoping and benefit analysis.
* Train groups of learners of variable skill levels, managing group dynamics to ensure a positive outcome. This includes training groups as well as individuals on a 1:1 basis, in a variety of locations or remotely via Microsoft Teams, adapting courses and documentation as appropriate.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
* Educated to degree level or equivalent portfolio of experience in successful delivery of Change Management and Training.
* Training/Teaching Qualification.
* PRINCE2 Foundation level or working towards.
Knowledge and experience
* Computer literate e.g. proficient in the use of IHCS (PAS), Microsoft Office applications etc. with the ability to master new software applications.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* The ability to concentrate in a busy environment and prioritise own workload.
* Considerable experience of working on Projects.
* Ability to lead, plan and write training resources.
* Experience of delivering training to a wide range of audiences.
* Simplify a complex concept into a presentation.
* Use formative assessment to determine the understanding of the learners.
* Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to take initiative, be proactive and work without supervision.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
* Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
* Effective negotiator with the ability to influence others; a person who is known to embrace new systems and lead adoption of change.
* Ability to self-assess and recognise areas for improvement.
* Experience of facilitating change within the NHS or similar environment.
* Understanding and experience of current IT solutions and associated processes within the South Devon Health Community.
* Understanding and experience of working operationally in a complex NHS Trust.
