Location: The Bridge School, Ipswich
Contract: Part-time, permanent (35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year)
Grade: Grade 2-3, SP 3-6 (dependent on experience). (FTE: £24,027 - £25,183 / Actual: £19,004 - £19,918 per annum).
Start date: March 2025
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly improving special school, which joined Unity Schools Partnership multi-academy trust in June 2019. We are looking for individuals with a passion for SEN to join our friendly, hardworking team and make an impact on the learning of our students. The successful applicant will need to be flexible and prepared to assist pupils on a one-to-one basis as well as in small groups and whole class settings. The Bridge Special School is a popular school educating children and young people between the ages of 4 - 19 who have a wide range of communication, physical, and profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many of the pupils are on the Autistic Spectrum.
The school serves a catchment area that covers Ipswich and surrounding areas of Suffolk. As part of a collaborative, forward-thinking Academy Trust, Unity Schools Partnership will be creating a network of special schools working together. You will be supported in your role by experienced special education leaders who will offer advice and guidance as the school moves forward under their leadership. Significant training and development is available through opportunities for professional development, research, teacher training, and collaboration between schools and across phases.
