Interview/assessment/start date – Interviews week commencing 31st March, start date end of July British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is looking for an exceptional Station Leader to join our hard-working team based at King Edward Point, South Georgia. BAS delivers and enables world-leading interdisciplinary research in the Polar Regions. Through our extensive logistic capability and know how BAS facilitates access for the British and international science community to the UK polar research operation. A year-long tour as station leader will be a rewarding opportunity to support the Government of South Georgia & South Sandwich Islands (GSGSSI) in their work and scientists in their research. Within the role, there will be an opportunity to develop - on starting with BAS, there will be a month-long period aimed at specific station leader training, followed by another month of general pre-deployment training.
