Main duties of the job
We are seeking a qualified and experienced People Business Partner to support our team. This role is ideal for someone with a degree or equivalent qualification, CIPD Level 5 or 7, and significant experience in managing complex and broad HR caseloads. This role will provide support to Organisational Change.

Our Integrated Care Board (ICB) is the largest in the country, responsible for ensuring that high quality and safe health services are accessible to all of our communities. It has a wide range of functions, including promoting integration of health and care services, improving people's health and well-being, and reducing health inequalities.
With a £6.6 billion budget and a workforce of 170,000 people across the North East and North Cumbria, ICB staff also work at place level with local health and wellbeing boards in each of our 14 local authority areas alongside our 67 primary care networks, which consist of local GP practices, social care teams, and other community-based area providers.
The ICB collaborates with our Provider Collaborative, which includes the 11 NHS Foundation Trusts in the region, to deliver our shared priorities.
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional HR support to the People Team.
* Manage and resolve complex employee relations cases.
* Assist with HR processes.
* Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy.
* Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
* Support large scale organisational change.
* Contribute to employee engagement and development initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with up-to-date employment law.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified to degree level or equivalent, or relevant experience to an equivalent level.
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
* Masters level qualification or equivalent.
* Project management certificate.
Experience
* Significant experience in complex and broad HR caseload management.
* Evidence of up-to-date employment law knowledge and application.
* Knowledge and experience of an HR information management system and general office IT systems.
* Experience of working in HR within the NHS and application of NHS terms and conditions of service.
* Experience of using the NHS Electronic Record System (ESR).

£37,338 to £44,962 a year, per annum pro rata.
