Role: Interim Supply Chain Specialist Rate: Outside IR35- Circa £300 - 340 per day Location: York Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting an Interim Supply Chain Specialist on a 3-month initial contract for a public sector organisation in York. The Role: Develop a business case for the Supply Chain Project, successfully collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders Work closely with the procurement teams to identify stock which could be bulk purchased to aid cost saving Identify opportunities for improvement within the department, ensuring stock levels are agreed with budget holders and finding cost effective routes to donate, reuse or dispose of that stock Identify and rectify any catalogue management issues where products are not removed or updated Support the Director of Procurement in implementing Supplier and Contract Management to improve supply chain delivery and resilience The Person: Extensive experience within Supply Chain, across either Public or Private sector organisations Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders A track record of change management and leading strategies to modernise a Supply Chain function
