Job description
Introduction
We are currently seeking a Sub Agent with experience in Highways to join our team. As a leading construction company in the Highways sector, our client operates on a variety of Infrastructure projects and frameworks. This is a permanent position based in Tuddenham, Norwich.
Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment
2. Provide day-to-day leadership and management of a section of works, including the supervision and monitoring of the site team and sub-contractors
3. Plan, control, and monitor the progress of the works and coordinate the section(s) of the project as allocated
4. Manage multiple packages of work in conjunction with the commercial team
5. Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders
6. Report to Site Agent/Project Manager on progress and performance
7. Assist the Site Agent/Project Manager to administer the cost forecast, valuation, and reporting systems
8. Attend and implement weekly and monthly site meetings
Job Requirements
9. Ability to work safely
10. Read and interpret data, drawings, specifications, and schedules
11. Highly organised and able to prioritise multiple workloads
12. Effective plant and material management
13. Adept at interfacing with site team, subcontractors, designer, and the client
14. Strong knowledge of CDM 15
15. Good working knowledge of NEC
16. Able to interpret, extract, and disseminate works information relating to the program of works
17. Proven leadership and delegation skills
18. Advanced problem-solving skills
