My client specialises in EV charging infrastructure and sustainable energy solutions. As a growing company in the electric vehicle sector, they are committed to delivering high-quality services and innovative solutions for their clients. They are now looking to expand their team and are seeking a Junior / Assistant Buyer to support their procurement functions.
Role Overview:
As a Junior / Assistant Buyer, you will report directly to the Buyer and assist with the purchasing of essential materials, equipment, and services. You will play a key role in supporting the procurement process for EV charging projects, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of all required products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive and process order requests from various departments and sites.
2. Obtain quotations from suppliers for products and services related to EV charging and infrastructure.
3. Raise purchase orders and ensure all details are accurate.
4. Track deliveries, ensuring orders are fulfilled on time and meet the required specifications.
5. Review and check invoices, addressing any discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
6. Assist the Buyer with managing supplier relationships and maintaining procurement records.
7. Help manage inventory and ensure stock levels align with ongoing projects and business needs.
Key Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a purchasing or buying role is essential.
2. Experience in the EV, construction, or energy sectors is a plus.
3. Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with procurement software is a plus.
7. A team player with the ability to work independently and manage tasks autonomously.
