The post holder will provide professional support for Trust claims and inquest work aswell as assisting under supervision with advisory and Court of Protection matters. Main duties of the job - To provide an effective claims management and inquest service for the Trustincluding clinical negligence; employer and public liability matters. oResponsibility for complying with disclosure and obtaining witnessstatements from relevant Trust staff in relations to inquests or claims. oNotify and report to the Head of Quality and Compliance/ Claims and Inquest Manager any claims trends or issues relating to clinical processes or staff conductarising out of any claims or inquests. o To assist with advising on general healthcare law, support with Court of Protection applications and other clinical legal issues. oTo assist with the preparation of reports, databases, management of internal case management systems and delivery of internal training sessions. oThe job description may be subject to change according to the varying needs of the service. o All duties must be carried out within the scope of Trust policy and procedures.
