I am a young man who uses a wheelchair. I am looking for a friendly, honest, chatty, patient, encouraging and caring person who should be of a cheerful disposition and able to take instruction initially but then be able to work on your own initiative and establish a routine. You should be imaginative and willing to encourage me to try new activities. You must have experience of moving and handling as you will be required to transfer me from my chair to my car. I live in a smoking household with a small dog. My hobbies are Thomas the Tank Engine, board games and vising local shops.
I need support with:
- personal care which may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
- household chores and general homemaking
- attending appointments attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors
- access sporting and leisure activities
- developing a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
You must be aged at least 25 and hold a full driving license as the role requires you to drive the employer’s vehicle. A DBS check will also be required (paid for by the employer).
Working days/hours are 4 hours after 10am Monday, Wednesday and Friday
