At AWS, we are looking for a Sales Manager with a successful record of driving growth in Professional Services and leading enterprise customers through transformative projects involving IT Strategy, distributed architecture, and hybrid cloud operations.
Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Own and drive a Professional Services sales motion including pipeline creation, billable bookings and delivered revenue.
2. Engage customers - collaborate with enterprise sales managers to develop strong customer and partner relationships and build a growing business in a geographic territory, driving AWS adoption in key markets and accounts.
3. Drive industry defining projects underpinned by AWS services to support cloud transformation and new business models.
4. Coach and teach - collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers maximize the value from AWS services.
5. Deliver value - lead high quality delivery of a variety of customized engagements with partners and enterprise customers in the commercial and public sectors.
6. Lead great people - attract top IT architecture talent to build high performing teams of consultants with superior technical depth, and customer relationship skills.
7. Be a customer advocate - Work with AWS engineering teams to convey partner and enterprise customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.
8. Build organization assets – identify patterns and implement solutions that can be leveraged across customer base. Improve productivity through tooling and process improvements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. 10+ years of relevant work experience in Partner Sales/ Partner Management in the IT industry.
2. Experience managing Partners and successfully working with internal teams to build new capabilities and implement new projects.
3. Experience in managing Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience developing ISV partnerships in the Business Application space or in Vertical/Industry Applications.
2. 5+ years managing Channel Partners.
3. Verbal and written communications skills.
