We're a national law firm with a local reach. Our philosophy is 'we're legal and financial experts that care' - something you'll find in the way we work with our clients and how we support our teams. But we're more than just a law firm - we're a team of people working together to help individuals and businesses navigate life's ups and downs. Our Team
The Court of Protection is the judicial body responsible for making decisions relating to the management of finances and other affairs of those individuals who lack the mental capacity to do so themselves. As one of the UK's leading firms of solicitors, we have a dedicated and experienced team who specialise in all matters relating to the Court of Protection. You'll join Partner Joanne Fraser who specialises in Court of Protection matters, often dealing with the family or legal advisors of the client who has lost the mental capacity to manage their property and affairs. Joanne's clients have often, but not always, been awarded a substantial personal injury compensation award and she will then assist in the management of those damages in the best interests of the client. Her work involves dealing with deputyship applications, offering a professional deputyship service, applications including gifts and statutory wills. This is ideally a Leeds based role; we're keen to accommodate what's best for you, so we can be flexible on location however there will be a need to visit the Leeds office regularly in the future.
