As a leading care agency specialising in temporary recruitment, Nurseplus is looking for Children’s and Young People Support Workers. You should be highly motivated, committed, and have a genuine interest in delivering the highest quality of care for children and young people. With Nurseplus, you will work across a variety of settings including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging behaviour, Education, and Residential.
Your job role as a Children and Young People’s Support Worker will involve working closely with children in care and putting them at the centre of everything you do. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting them in all aspects of their lives, such as educational pursuits, hobbies, and activities.
Your experience and support will be influential in developing and contributing towards positive outcomes to help shape the future of children and young people.

Responsibilities of a Children and Young People’s Support Worker:
* Support, safeguard, and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
* Assist with daily routines, including working in the community and/or educational settings
* Organise and facilitate social activities
* Provide transportation when needed
* Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practices
* Offer high levels of supervision and support
* Work in line with Ofsted regulations
* Manage complex behaviours and crisis interventions
* Contribute to care plans and risk assessments, including their review and implementation
What Nurseplus needs from you as a Children and Young People’s Support Worker:
* A minimum of 6 months of experience working within a child and/or young adult setting
* You must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
* Right to work in the UK
* Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEND
* A good standard of English and effective communication skills
* Desirable: Diploma 3 / 4 qualification in Health and Social Care/Residential Care
* An enhanced DBS check, which can be applied for upon registration (costs £45.40 and will be refunded after a set period of work)
