Description
Permanent contract, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The post holder will support adult learners at Bath College in their progression pathways by understanding their motivation for engagement with the college, coordinating and tracking work experience and placements and monitoring and tracking progression into further education or employment. The post holder will be expected to engage with adult learners across all provision types including, but not limited to, Tailored and Community Learning, Part-Time Qualifications, ESOL, English & Maths, Skills Bootcamps and Projects where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
Local intelligence gathering:
* Engaging directly with the most disadvantaged communities in order to determine what learning and skills needs in those communities are, including intelligence on progression opportunities, barriers, and types of support/curriculum that best support the barriers.
Active engagement and progression support:
* Engage directly with local residents from our most disadvantaged communities and encourage their transition into appropriate learning.
* Support adults learners from successfully completing their learning into their intended positive destinations/progression pathways.
Track and Monitor Learner Progress:
* Maintain accurate records of adult learner participation in work experience and job placement programs.
* Regularly review and update learner progress, identifying any issues or barriers to progression.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* GCSE English Language at grade C/4 -9 equivalent
* GCSE Maths at grade C/4-9 or equivalent
* Educated to Level 3 in related area
* Demonstrate knowledge of careers guidance and employability skills for adults
* Demonstrate a knowledge of local employability initiatives, DWP priorities and the adult skills landscape.
* Demonstrate E-literacy and competency in Microsoft Office:
o MS Word: A good working knowledge of producing documents and emails.
o MS Excel: Able to create basic Excel formulas, enabling manipulation and dissemination of information.
