Our client has a great opportunity for an experienced, small animal Vet to join their close-knit and supportive team. You will primarily work at one site but you may have to occasionally cover a shift at one of the other branches. You will work-up your cases and have a varied workload.
This is a very well-established, 100% small animal RCVS accredited practice located right next to the beautiful South Downs National Park, less than 1 hour from the coast, access to London via train and easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow airport. There are three surgeries serving the communities around Alton area. The team continually strive for excellence in management, medicine, surgery, diagnostic and service to enrich and lengthen the special relationship between people and their pets.
The facilities include:
1. Separate cat and dog wards
2. Excellent ultrasound equipment including cardiac probes
3. Idexx VetLab stations for same day haematology, biochemistry and electrolytes
4. Digital radiograph
5. High speed dental handpieces and one site has a new digital dental radiograph system
6. Dedicated theatres for surgical work
The client would welcome both full or part time applicants. Typically, the hours for this role are 40 hours over 5 days per week, Monday – Friday, plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. There are no out of hours associated with this role however they occasionally look after their own in-patients - treatment checks which are optional and paid for.
Salary is up to £69,300 DOE plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus and up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance

They have a supportive and committed team of 1 Clinical Director, 6 Vets, 5 RVNs, 4 SVNs and 7 Receptionists in the 3 well-equipped surgeries on the Hampshire/Surrey border. They also have a visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon for the more challenging surgical cases. The Clinical Director joined the practice from South Africa initially as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2010, progressing to CD in 2023. She has a strong interest in Veterinary Medicine and is super supportive of the whole team. This is a vibrant workplace where you will be joining an enthusiastic and motivated team.
