Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEND), Southwark, London Full-Time, One Academic Year (September 2025 to July 2026) We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and nurturing school community in Southwark, London. Key Details: Graduate Teaching Assistant Start Date: September 2025 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Contract: Fixed term for one academic year Responsibilities: Graduate Teaching Assistant Provide one-to-one support for children with SEND, including autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans and behaviour strategies Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment Support the development of communication, social, and life skills Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure each child achieves their potential Monitor and record student progress Requirements/Desirable: Graduate Teaching Assistant A degree (or equivalent qualification) Experience working with children with special educational needs, including autism, Down syndrome, or cerebral palsy A compassionate and patient approach to working with children with diverse learning needs Strong communication and teamwork skills A proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children in development Desirable: Graduate Teaching Assistant Knowledge of assistive communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS) Understanding of sensory integration strategies If you have the experience and passion to support our inspiring students, we would love to hear from you.
