Business Support functions are essential in all industries, with business and administration needed in every sector. This 12-month modern apprenticeship will help you to understand how a business runs and gain a greater understanding of business administration and the important role that business support functions play in enabling organisations to operate efficiently and effectively. At North Lanarkshire Council we have four key services that play an important role in delivering for our communities, these are Education and Families, Enterprise and Communities, Adult Health and Social Care and our Chief Executives Office Corporate functions. As part of this apprenticeship, youâll undertake an SCQF Level 6 in Business & Administration. Youâll also gain valuable work experience in a business support function such as Finance, Accounts, Human Resources, Administration, Housing, Business Solutions or Customer Services within one of our services. Candidates who have successfully completed a relevant Foundation Apprenticeship will also be considered. During the selection process weâll look for you to demonstrate the key strengths we know youâll need to be successful; ambition, determination, adaptability, personality, ownership, be pro-active and show willingness to learn.\n\nIn accordance with Government Guidelines, youâll need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship) or if you are disabled or care experienced, youâll need to be aged between 16-29 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship).
