The Scotch category is seeking a Manufacturing Excellence Lead to drive performance, practices, and standards across our Malt Distilling operations in Scotland. Based primarily in Elgin, this Level 5A role requires travel to various sites.
About the Role:
In a time of significant volume growth and high spirit demand, this role is crucial for ensuring safe, impactful, and reliable distilleries and maltings. You will partner with operational teams to embed sustained performance, implement standard processes, and build capacities. Through leading and facilitating continuous improvement activities, you will support breakthrough performance improvement across Malt Distilling. Applying TRACC tools and mentorship, you will ensure standards and best practices are implemented and sustained. As a trained TRACC facilitator, you will also prepare and deliver relevant training sessions.
About you
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
1. Operational experience, preferably in Distilling, Brewing, or Malting.
2. Knowledge or experience in applying manufacturing excellence tools and techniques.
3. Successful experience in coaching and influencing a range of partners.
4. Ability to interpret and analyze data sources to identify loss, waste, and cost-saving opportunities.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital literacy; Power BI experience preferred.
6. DMAIC Green or Black Belt trained and certified, or willingness to achieve.
