An iconic global skincare and cosmetics brand is seeking a highly organised Planning & Purchasing Administrator to be responsible for the short-term planning and purchasing activities. (OFFICE BASED) Benefits Up to £30,000 per annum basic salary Extra days holiday for your birthday Free monthly product allocation Pension scheme Season Ticket Loan for public transport Responsibilities Issue purchase orders, ensure POs are on track though to delivery, communicating with vendors Ensuring accurate inventory levels in a complex contract manufacturing environment Own supplier relationship; point of contact & weekly open orders calls Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations on components at supplier locations Analyse and report monthly on excess, obsolete and discontinued Partner with Logistics to ensure timely inbound delivery of POs via air, ocean & trucks Develop logistics requirements (specifications) with suppliers Liaise with Demand Planning and warehouse management team to ensure that stock is available Initiate and drive lead-time improvement and agility projects Create and revise part numbers and bills of materials as necessary Create reports and other tools to provide visibility on all inventory locations Assist in price reviews and negotiations and resolving invoice discrepancies Communicate and escalate risks to cross-functional teams Prepare clear and direct reports to Senior Management when appropriate Requirements 1-2 years experience in overseeing office operations Experience of working with purchase orders Strong understanding of IT systems and procedures Process driven with outstanding organisational skills and a high attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external parties
