Job Summary Assists the Project Manager meeting the programme requirements of the project by providing planning for: Developing and updating multi-disciplinary programmes in conjunction with the delivery team, supply chain and stakeholders Integrating the programme activities they are responsible for with other relevant programme dependencies within the network logic Scoping out of activity dependencies such as methods statements, permits, Inspection and test plans, consents, permits, assurance and stakeholder requirements Cost loading the working programme and provide accurate Earned Value parameters on a periodic basis. Prepare and issue look-ahead programmes for short term planning (Last Planner Schedules) and weekly work plan meetings on a weekly basis Produce programme fragments and High level summary programmes in Visio /excel/ PowerPoint Analysis and tracking of programme float paths to monitor slippages, prolongation and criticality Programme reporting in accordance with the weekly work plan and periodic programme submittals as stipulated in the Contract Identify and demonstrate the schedule impacts of change events. Provide the relevant programme information to support in the issuance of contract communications, early warnings and instructions Satisfy programme requirements stipulated within the NEC4 suite of Contracts Provide scenario planning support to the project team Prepare and maintain a tracker for key programme milestones Effective communication of relevant programme information to the project team Provide analysis for the acceptance/rejection of subcontractor programmes under the NEC4 suite of contracts Prepare programme narrative and other relevant data to report and monitor monthly progress Key Responsibilities Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by the contract Produce look ahead programmes and update inputs from the delivery team. Collect site progress and update programme data accordingly Cost loading and earned value management using Primavera P6 and other software as required. Incorporate validated information from the relevant supply chain programmes Re-sequence and adapt the programme to reflect the methodology of the design, procurement and delivery team Produce reports and management information for the board and senior management as required by the Lead Planner. Maintain a properly documented programme change log Work in a multi-user Primavera database Prepare forward looking programme fragnets using Microsoft Project To deputize in the absence of the Lead Planner and attend meetings on request at the project sites Undertake site visits on a periodic basis to inform the programme development and periodic updates Liaise with all project departments to inform the programme development, periodic updates, compensation events, early warnings, value engineering and strategy development. Educated to HND - HNC level or equivalent in a construction or related discipline. A low educational level combined with extensive experience in a similar role would meet this requirement Membership of a relevant professional body at member or associate member level Substantial experience of planning, cost and resource loading utilising Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software and ASTA PowerProject software Demonstrable construction and operational planning experience on large multi-disciplinary projects Functional knowledge of the NEC4 suite of contracts Proficient use of programme presentation tools using excel, Visio and power point
