Role: Quality Assurance Operative

Working Hours: 06.00am - 18.00pm, 4on4off
Stonegate are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Operative to join our Packing Centre. As a Quality Assurance Operative you will support the quality improvement and right-first-time agenda so that products are legally manufactured and compliant with customer specifications. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will foster a climate of quality and safety awareness at all stages of production within the centre to ensure product excellence.

Role & Responsibilities:
1. To maintain the elements of the quality system to fully meet the requirements of Company Practices, Codes of Practice and customer protocols.
2. To maintain and update as required all component specifications, product specifications, Stonegate QA and HACCP Manual, Egg Marketing Regulations and customer specifications.
3. To conduct checks of egg as detailed in the QA manual.
4. To ensure all records are checked, reviewed and signed off.
5. To assist with the investigation into all complaints and quality failures and make recommendations for corrective action and future prevention.
6. To conduct in-depth checks of egg and packing materials when requested by the QA team and to produce reports of the findings.
7. To audit the relevant sections of the Quality Management system in order to ensure compliance and report all non-conformances.
Person Specification:

4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Ability to work within a team.
Qualifications / Experience:
1. Previous experience working within Quality Assurance, ideally within food manufacturing.
2. Understanding of HACCP.
3. Food Safety Level 2 (desirable).
