As a Care and Support Worker at St. Edmunds Court, you will provide quality care and support by delivering a person-centred approach, meeting individual needs as set out in our customers personalised plans. Providing support for a range of needs, this will range from personal, practical, and emotional assistance, ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything you do. Further key responsibilities are listed below:
• Support customers to develop and maintain links with their local community.
• Promote choice and ensure customers are fully involved in identifying their needs and planning their own support.
• Provide personal care in line with individual care and support plans.
• Administer medication when required.
In order to be successful in application for our Care and Support Worker role, you will need to hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, demonstrate experience in supporting individuals through work or personal experience, and possess strong communication skills alongside confidence in using digital devices. A positive, people-focused approach with a commitment to promoting independence, equality, and wellbeing is essential.
Our Care and Support position is based full-time at St. Edmunds Court in Peterborough and contracted to 22 hours per week. We are flexible with shift patterns, which range between 6.45am – 9.30pm. For this particular role, you can expect to work 5 days on, and 2 days off.
