About Roxel UK
Roxel UK is an Anglo-French company that designs, develops, and manufactures solid propellant rocket motors for tactical missiles. Our operations span several sites in the UK and France, with a strong presence in Summerfield, Kidderminster.
As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Roxel UK, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products throughout their lifecycle. Your primary responsibility will be to support product lifecycle quality assurance across all production processes, guaranteeing that processes and procedures are in place and adhered to in relation to product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct inspections of parts and assemblies to drawing and process requirements, ensuring compliance across multiple projects.
* Implement minor reworks or touch-ups to maintain product conformity.
* Maintain operator adherence to manufacturing manuals through regular spot-checks.
* Raise non-conformance forms as needed, inspecting and approving rework accordingly.
* Manage your workload effectively, collaborating with cell leaders to prioritize and complete inspections in a timely manner.
* Create, collate, update, and maintain FAIR records using Visual Fair, as requested.
* Develop and manage CMM programs, probes, and software updates.
* Troubleshoot CMM errors, issues, and collisions to minimize downtime.
* Operate CMM machines according to business needs and guidelines.
* Establish inspection methods for underdefined or non-standard inspections.
* Ensure adherence to relevant paperwork and follow business procedures.
* Maintain personal health and safety within the business, promoting a safe working environment.
* Mentor new inspectors, sharing knowledge to facilitate team progression and growth.
* Conduct audits as requested, including internal and supplier audits.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
* An apprenticeship level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Internal Auditor AS/EN9100 training.
Required Skills:
* Quality inspection experience within a manufacturing/engineering industry.
* CMM operation and programming expertise.
* Proficiency in FAIR generation and collation.
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Effective problem-solving skills.
Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
