The Role
As a Service Management Specialist, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. As a member of the Digital Enterprise Services Service Management Product Team, you will support the Product Owner by providing experience and capability to the IT Services function to plan, execute, optimise and maintain the Service Management processes and practices that provide high quality services to our customers.
Day-to-day you will:
1. Own, oversee and operate the enterprise-standard Service Management practices and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and optimised for IT teams’ adoption and use across the world.
2. Work with Product Owners and their teams to ensure appropriate Service Strategies are in place, and the Operational Readiness of new or changed IT Services ensuring they are designed and transitioned successfully into Live Operation within Sectors.
3. Identify the need for and support the implementation of Service Improvement Plans and Problem Resolution.
4. Facilitate and oversee Early Life Support for new or changed services implemented by the Enterprise Product teams.
5. Provide input into Architectural Governance Boards validating Service Management considerations.
This role is full-time, 37 hours per week, and can be based from any of our main UK sites, with adaptive working options.
Essential experience of the Service Management Specialist:
1. Strong level of experience of Service Management within complex technology environments.
2. Extensive experience of using and optimising ITSM tooling.
3. Experience of working in scrum teams in an agile development operating model.
4. Experience working with Information Technology Projects and Programmes.
