Provide technical support to existing and new product manufacturing assembly, test and packaging processes, including: Design processes and facilities that adhere to Safe Systems of Work methodology and ensure operator safety through Risk Assessments and implementation of appropriate controls. Produce manufacturing documentation including work instructions, test procedures and control charts. Design and/or source tools, jigs and fixtures for assembly and test. Monitoring, maintenance, and calibration of the above as required. Monitor for, and implement continuous improvement opportunities in areas of safety, cost, quality, yield, and throughput. Troubleshoot production problems and implement sustainable fixes using DMAIC or similar process. Manage the Engineering Change process through to completion. Monitor and improve process yields through cell design, process flow and line balancing. Train staff and supply chain partners and keep Training Matrix up to date. Lead New Product Introduction in all aspects relating to factory readiness including but not limited to facilities, processes, tooling, and training. Assist with facility management including Fire, Security, and contractor visits. Play an active role in ISO audit preparation and readiness. Desired Skills/Qualifications Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position with hands on exposure to both assembly and automated test equipment. Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification 3D modelling proficiency using SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar. Minimum 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly and test with working knowledge of mechanical, hardware and software disciplines. Ability to review a mechanical design using DFA/DFM and/or FMEA methodologies. Experience in gathering, manipulating and analyzing data for root cause analysis.
