Our international agricultural client seeks a commercially astute Finance Director to join their management team.
The Role:
1. Supporting the leadership team in the development & implementation of strategic plans and associated action plans for the business.
2. Establishing financial measurement standards and developing systems to monitor performance vs targets.
3. Evaluating & reporting departmental performance with the MD and other key stakeholders.
4. Supporting the SLT in the review of finance & administration activities of the business and affiliates, ensuring maximum efficiencies are achieved across the Group.
5. Ensuring R&D expenditure is identified & captured within the Group’s wider tax plan.
6. Creating, implementing & operating budgeting & broader management controls.
7. Driving continuous improvement & performance management.
8. Supporting the development, management and implementation of the IT strategy across the business.
9. Recruiting and development of staff members within the finance function.
The Person:
1. Fully qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
2. Prior experience in a similar role in an industrial, manufacturing or agricultural environment.
3. Significant experience of leading and managing a finance team.
4. Excellent IT literacy skills.
5. Experience of overseeing implementation of systems & processes.
6. Strong business acumen & commercial awareness.
7. Outstanding communicator at all levels with ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders.
8. Dedicated & hard-working with proven ability to work autonomously under own initiative.
9. High-level analytical skills.
10. Broad knowledge & awareness of the agricultural industry would be desirable.
