Main duties of the job
As a Workforce Experience Manager, you'll design and implement bespoke Organisational Development (OD) initiatives to enhance staff engagement, leadership effectiveness, and service transformation across the Trust. You will lead on key initiatives such as talent development programmes, coaching strategies, and bespoke interventions to support team development. You will also contribute to the People Promise, EDI and Health and Wellbeing initiatives, working in partnership with the others in the team. In addition, you'll design, deliver and evaluate interventions that foster positive culture change, providing timely reports on outcomes and impact to senior leadership.

The Workforce Experience Manager role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic OD initiatives that enhance workforce engagement, leadership capacity, and organisational effectiveness. Reporting to the Head of Workforce Experience, you will collaborate with the Workforce Experience Officer, People Promise Manager and another Workforce Experience Manager to deliver high-quality interventions that align with the Trust's People Matter strategy.
Key responsibilities include designing and leading bespoke OD programmes aimed at improving team performance, driving culture change, and supporting service transformation. You'll provide coaching and mentorship to managers and leaders, working within a framework of professional coaching standards to foster leadership growth. You'll also take an active role in facilitating workshops and development programmes that focus on change management, leadership development, and organisational culture.
While you won't be directly responsible for the NHS People Promise, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and Staff Health and Well-being, you will have the opportunity to contribute to this important work in collaboration with your fellow Workforce Experience Manager.

* Demonstrated experience across the full OD cycle, including diagnostics, development, and delivery of interventions for individual, team, and organisational improvement.
* Extensive experience coaching or mentoring senior leaders and managers.
* Proven track record in designing and delivering bespoke OD interventions, team development, leadership development programmes, and change management initiatives.
* Experience working effectively with a diverse range of staff groups.
* Hands-on experience in workforce engagement initiatives.
* Experience in managing people and supporting their professional development.
* History of working successfully with senior managers and leaders on organisational and service-level change initiatives.
* Experience facilitating challenging conversations and providing unscripted, evidence-based advice and direction.
* Proven achievement in driving service improvements.

* In-depth knowledge of Organisational Development (OD) theories, tools, and techniques including diagnostics, intervention design, measurement metrics, and impact evaluation.
* Expertise in the design, delivery, and evaluation of training and facilitation programs.
* High-level verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing reports for senior leaders and the Board.
* Advanced IT skills, particularly within the Microsoft Office suite, to ensure effective production of mandated reports and presentations.
* Knowledge of NHS strategy and policy agendas at national, regional, and Trust levels, along with Trust business priorities.
* Solid grasp of project management principles and methods.
Qualifications
Essential
* Master's degree or equivalent qualification in HR, OD, or a related field, or significant equivalent experience gained through professional development and additional training.
* Educated to at least degree level, with a post-graduate qualification in HR, OD, or a complementary field relevant to the role.
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, with recent and continuous learning in Organisational Development or a related area within Workforce Experience.
