We are pleased to offer the following ‘Training’ positions within the Ultrasound team at UHNM. PgC Obs & Gynae ultrasound PgC General and Gynae ultrasound These are fixed term training posts offered at band 5. On successful completion of both the academic and clinical requirements and a period of preceptorship this will lead to substantive Advanced Practitioner Posts within the team. Full support will be given to meet the requirements set out by the course. Clinical training will be delivered from ALL sites including Royal Stoke, County Hospital and Community Sites, across a seven-day working pattern. Higher Education Institution will be discussed at interview. This is a demanding programme; therefore, we are seeking applications from candidates who feel they can rise to the challenge of working within a busy department whilst undertaking self-directed academic study. We are looking to recruit highly motivated, dynamic, innovative and professional individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be able to drive and work flexibly and be committed to delivering excellent patient care and team working. Applicants must have a clear understanding of the role of a ‘sonographer’ as a health care professional and of associated registration pathways. You must state clearly in your supporting information which discipline you are applying for with current CPD evidence to support this. Please see the attached JD & PS Post Graduate training in either Obstetrics and Gynaecology Ultrasound or General Medical and Gynaecology Ultrasound. Combined academic study and clinical training Working within a fast paced, dynamic department with a variety of equipment, with an interesting and challenging case load. We provide a 7 day service including bank holidays on a rotational basis. Minimum Requirement Relevant degree Associated registration clear understanding of the ‘sonography’ role gained through work placed experience and must be able to demonstrate their desire to practice in the field of ultrasound within their CPD portfolio.
