Category Manager | Crewe | Hybrid | Up to £45,000 + car allowance
The UK's leading part supplier to the Rail industry requires a Category Manager to play an instrumental role in delivering strategic procurement initiatives.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to gain direct exposure inside a £Billion T/O international organisation, actively improving the procurement strategies for defined categories of spend and seeing the tangible effects of your efforts in overhauling the current supplier list.
Your role will be highly strategic, using your purchasing acumen to implement the best practices across your category, managing numerous suppliers and ensuring best in class performance.
The Candidate:
1. CIPS Qualified
2. Procurement background - open to any industry.
3. Strong experience managing contracts/suppliers, with some legal understanding of contracts (i.e. terms/conditions, clauses).
4. Soft skills – uses own initiative, able to manage own diary.
5. Strong excel skills (able to use for analysis i.e. pivot tables, data tools). User Of SAP would be desirable.
Location
Crewe (Hybrid, 3 days in office, with travel across the UK).
Salary:
Up to £45,000 plus car allowance.
