Job Title
A Quality Engineer is needed to maintain quality standards in our production process. They will work closely with suppliers and customers to resolve technical and quality issues.
This role ensures that all products meet industry standards and exceed customer expectations, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* ISO Standards & Audits: Conduct internal audits, prepare for external audits, and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Product Approval and Reporting: Manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to ensure product quality meets requirements.
* Problem Solving: Utilise 8D problem-solving techniques to address quality-related issues and lead cross-functional teams.
* Engineering Drawings: Review and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T, to ensure components meet specifications and tolerances.
* New Product Introduction (NPI): Establish quality requirements for new products and collaborate with production and engineering teams.
* Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Monitor, analyse, and report on quality KPIs to track progress and drive continuous improvement.
* Continuous Improvement (5S): Implement and maintain 5S practices to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
* Supplier and Customer Collaboration: Act as a primary contact for suppliers and customers regarding technical and quality-related concerns.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills:
* Strong knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
* Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T.
* Experience with PPAP, FAIR, and NPI processes.
* Familiarity with 8D problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
* Demonstrated understanding of KPIs, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
Estimated Salary:
$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
