Health and Safety Officer
Our client, a leading international bank based in London, is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis, offering a salary of up to £45,000 per annum. This would be a full office-based position in their London branch.
What will you be doing?
As the Health and Safety Officer, your main responsibility will be to ensure that the bank is fully compliant with the UK occupational Health and Safety standards and to provide a healthy environment for staff, customers, contractors, and visitors. You will ensure that all statutory requirements are maintained throughout the bank. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Developing fire and other emergency plans for the bank.
2. Carrying out accident and incident investigations and reporting under the RIDDOR legislation.
3. Ensuring health and safety information is displayed at all branches and conducting branch visits.
4. Coordinating the risk assessment programme and managing high-risk activities through the permit to work system.
5. Chairing and organising consultation meetings with employees.
6. Performing other day-to-day duties as required.
What skills will you have?
You will have:
1. Between 3 - 5 years of UK working experience.
2. An IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
3. A keen eye for detail with excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with staff at all levels.
4. An approachable and trustworthy demeanor, with excellent knowledge in your field.
