SEND Teacher - LS18 Full Time, long term Start Date: November 2024 Vision for Education is currently recruiting an experienced SEND Teacher to work in a resource provision in a Primary school in LS18. Working as one of two teachers, you will be responsible for the daily teaching of EYFS and KS1 aged pupils in the provision, so you must not only have SEND experience but KS1 and EYFS experience too. You will be supporting pupils with Complex Communication Needs, including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school Purpose-built unit has been designed to support children in receipt of an EHCP and with complex communication needs. This provision is on site of the primary school. Teachers use an integrated approach to ensuring pupils flourish, not only focuses on their academic abilities but also provides a curriculum focussing on their social and life skills too. Developing resilience, emotional intelligence and self-regulation are key aspects to supporting our pupils to have success. Requirements The desired SEND Teacher will have: • Have experience teaching SEND pupils and be responsible for their learning outcomes • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) • Have a passion for the progress of children with complex needs • Understanding of how to work with children with complex needs whilst focussing on both their educational and additional needs Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
