Hours: 40 hours per week, additional hours to be taken as TOIL. Some weekend and evening work is necessary.
Location: Candidates will be based in the office at Chapter in Cardiff. We offer a hybrid model which means that, when possible, you can also work from home.
Purpose of Role
The post-holder is responsible for the strategic planning, day-to-day operations, delivery of new and existing services, and capacity planning to ensure our IT infrastructure meets the current and future needs of the organisation.
The individual must ensure that IT systems and infrastructure meet operational requirements and enhance audience engagement, accessibility, and inclusivity for all users, including those with limited digital confidence. This includes internet, telecommunications, tills, intranet, digital display, IT infrastructure, and all information and computer networks.
Successful candidates will be organised, ambitious, and solution-focused with demonstrable experience in a similar role. Adaptable and able to work to short deadlines within a tight budget, they should be focused and patient, supporting the varying needs and IT competencies of everyone within the organisation. They will also be skilled at making support and training engaging and understandable for all.
Detail-focused individuals, as part of the Senior Management Team, will actively contribute to the organisation’s long-term strategic vision and planning.
