Your Day-to-Day:
1. Production of Process drawings: Process Flow Diagrams and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams/Engineering Flow Diagrams.
2. Production of calculations including mass, energy and flow balances, pipe and equipment sizing utilising MS Excel, MathCAD, Pipenet, Aspen Custom Modeler or other software as required.
3. Production of technical documents such as Basis of Design, Testing Strategies/Schedules, Method Statements etc.
4. Participation in design meetings and technical reviews and presentation of technical solutions.
5. Undertake Plant / Site Surveys
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
6. Must already be legally eligible to work in the UK (sponsoring program is not available)
7. Masters degree in Chemical Engineering required
8. 0 - 4 years in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated sector
9. Chartered Engineer/incorporated or working towards and engaged on a programme of Continual Professional Development.
10. Working knowledge of standards, regulations, codes and directives and how they should be applied including (but not limited to) Pressure Equipment Regulations, COMAH, COSHH, DSEAR etc.
11. An appreciation and understanding of the Construction & Design Management Regulations.
12. Basic understanding of the process contribution to safety case development
13. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
14. Understanding of CAE packages
15. Experience using process-related IT systems including MathCAD, Pipenet and Aspen Custom Modeler considered ideal.
