We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include evenings and weekends. We have full-time hours available.
You will require good communication skills, a teamwork approach, and be able to provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

Main duties of the job
Rapid Response is a service which aims to meet patients' urgent care needs at home by providing urgent clinical, therapy, or support interventions to keep a patient in their place of residence, which is key in improving patient outcomes, preventing avoidable hospital admissions, and delivering NHS strategic priorities.
The service is part of the new Urgent Community Response agenda and will respond within two hours of a referral to meet the UCR national guidelines.
The RGN will provide and maintain a high standard of evidence-based, patient-centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the specialty, whilst reflecting the philosophy of care.
To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trust's patient and public involvement strategy.
Experienced Band 5 post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient-centred, evidence-based nursing care.
