Sports Coach, Blackpool (FY4)
Start date: 21st April 2025
Contract type: Full time, Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 (temp to perm).
Pay rate: £14- £15 p/h.

A large 2 form entry mainstream primary school in Blackpool is looking for a sports coach to support PE lessons, sports days, and sporting events on the lead up to the end of the academic year. The role is full-time Monday-Friday and involves working across all year groups in the school. The ideal candidate must be able to work flexibly and have the drive to make a difference through delivering/supporting P.E.
Requirements to be successful for the role:
* Able to implement behaviour strategies confidently.
* Experience delivering sports coaching to primary aged children.
* Strong knowledge/experience with Sports and confidence in planning sessions.
* Emotional and physical resilience to meet the challenges and demands of the role.
* Level 3 or degree in sports coaching.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
* Planning and delivering interactive, fun, and informative sports sessions to children aged 7-11.
* Adapting your approach according to each child’s individual needs.
* Working as part of a close team and understanding the need to set high standards of practice.
* Building professional relationships with the children and young people.
* Playing a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
* Providing guidance, encouragement, and personalised support to students facing challenges.
* Contributing to creating a nurturing and empowering environment that promotes the overall well-being of our students.
