Five Education is looking for a qualified/ unqualified Teacher to start ASAP. This could be the perfect opportunity for someone at the start of their teaching career. Or an established teacher who is looking for a new and different role for September. This work is based in Taunton.
The school we are recruiting for is a successful independent specialist school, with a dedicated staff team. The teaching at this school is of a high quality and the SEND provision ensures every child can reach their potential regardless of barriers they may have faced in the past. Many of the children at this school have ASC (Autism) ADHD and some have experienced early years trauma. There are also children at the school who fall under the following send categories; PMLD, GDD, SpLD and Downs syndrome.
Children at this school need guidance and support with their behaviour. To complete this role you will need to be resilient, patient and excellent at establishing rapport with hard-to-reach children. You will also need to be able to teach a variety of subjects such as PE, History, Geography, Social and Personal Development, Vocational, Functional Skills Maths and English.

Responsibilities and duties:
- Working collaboratively with other teaching staff to ensure planning and resources are effective
- Delivery of teaching that meets Ofsted criteria for outstanding lessons
- Maintaining assessment of pupils by following the school marking policy
- Adapting teaching to ensure differentiation is present in all lessons
- Implement behaviour management that promotes positive behaviour
- Establishing good communication with parents regarding pupil progress
Essential Criteria:
- 2 years' worth of references, 1 has to be working with children or vulnerable adults (needs to be recent and this could be paid or volunteer work).
- PGCE qualification with QTS or experience of teaching.
- A relevant DBS/Police checks.
- Able to work between 08.30-15.30, 5 days a week.
The pay rate is £20 an hour. The day is 7 hours with an unpaid lunch break. Your daily rate of pay would be £120.00* but with a potential to earn more.
